Diet. ...

Alright, So tomorrow I officially start NutriSystem. So I guess I will keep you posted on how it goes. I'm looking to lose 20-25lbs. I heard this wasnt hard and the food isnt too bad. We shall see.... wish me luck!

No Place Like Home

Wow it has been a while since I have been on here to blog! I just got back from Nashville, where I had a blast. I really miss home, but I really REALLY miss home when I visit! Spring was in full bloom, where as here in CT, it just hasnt quite made it yet!! Mom had gorgeous tulips in her yard!! I couldnt resist taking some pictures...anyway, I got in last Wednesday really just in time for bed. Thursday I had a haircut with Nikki! That made me happy and sad, happy cause I got a haircut, but so sad that it would be my last one from Nikki for a while! Thursday night I ate dinner at PF Changs with my family and stayed at home and watched The Office!!

Friday, I got to spend time with Lauren and Jill. I miss Lauren so much and it was nice to be able to see her. We ate at a really great Mexican place in East Nashville... Ghetto, I know, but it was SOOOO good! Then we went to Chili's for a bit and talked and had a glass of wine. Then went to Jill's house and talked til pretty late.. lots of fun!!

Saturday, Lauren, Jill and I had breakfast at Panera and went to get a pedicure. OH MY GOODNESS... if you havent gone to Diva Nails( I think that's the name of it) in Providence Shopping Center, then GO!! I promise, it's like a day at the Spa. Lovely. Simply Lovely. So then Saturday night I met up with Tabitha and Jennifer Lee and we ate at Bosco's then went downtown to Cadillac Ranch. I had never been there before. They know everyone there, so it was fun! Tab's cousin Crystal met us there too. I wanted to sing karaoke but there was a long wait and they guy said we could go next for 60 buck, but that is dumb so we didnt do that. There are a few places in there, but I liked downstairs at the best. I had too much fun that night!!!

Sunday was a good day too. I went to TDF and got to hear Amanda sing, which was fabulous, and was able to see a lot of people I miss. I went to the Polston's for lunch and got to meet sweet baby Jack and I got to love on him. I really wanted to take him home with me, but I dont think his mommy would let me!!! : ) I had a great time over there. The dynamic in that family is wonderful. It really makes me miss living near my family AnD it makes me want to have lots of kids so that we can have a big family!! I was planning to go to church on Sunday night, but my Aunt came over and we were looking at pictures and I lost track of time. But I did got to dinner with Em and Lauren H. Nems came for a bit to say hi. It was nice to see all of them. Em and I got a chance to catch up and talk for a bit after dinner!

Monday was fun. I met Breanne and her baby niece at Panera and spent some time talking. That baby is TOO sweet!!

Monday night, Mom, Dad, Lauren and I went to Ruth's Chris for dinner. We had a good time and a great dinner! I really miss seeing Lauren. She stayed over for a bit and hung out, but had to go and I went onto bed!

Tuesday, Mom, Deb, Dad and I went to IHOP and I has french toast. It was REALLY good french toast. I didnt get the stuffed stuff, I just got normal french toast. After that us girls went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and Ross... and there I got a BCBG running suit. It's too cute! Then, I went to see Lauren at work and pick up some DVDs. We went to Sonic to get her lunch. I had dinner with Mom and then that night, I met up with Tab at Hooters, I didnt eat, I just went to see her before I left. I got to see Ryan, who has gotten SO BIG! He is almost 8... I can remember when I watched him when he was like 6 months. Gosh, that makes me sad. After that, I met up with Margaret and Christine at Chili's and we had some wine and talked forever. We went to Sonic and took some pictures and acted stupid... and had a great time!!!!!!!

Wednesday was my last day and Mom, Dad, Deb and I went to Longhorn for lunch. Oh, before that, I went to say bye to Lauren, which sucked, but I got to say hi to Chazy, so that was nice. In the airport, I saw the country band Sugarland, that was cool. The flight was long. I got pretty far in my book, The Tenth Circle, so far it's great! All in all I had a great time in Nashville, and cant wait to visit ( with Chad next time)!!!!!

Anxiety, Boston, and Blessings

*Sigh* I have bad anxiety. I like to feel like I have total control over any situation and lately I have not felt that way at all. Chad is advancing in the Navy fast and is doing really well so now it looks like we are going to stay in. Two months ago if you would have asked, we would have told you we were going to be home(Nashville) by Summer of 2009, now it looks like we arent. I am a bit sad because I was looking forward to being closer to my family, Lauren, and TDF. If Chad makes E6 next March we are definitely in because it would be silly to leave. Chad has only been in for 4 years. He is thinking about putting in a package to become an Officer, so if he does that and gets chosen it looks like we are lifers. ... I dont mind it sometimes, but I am not looking forward to deployments and moving all the time. I dont like to move. If I could stay in one place for the rest of my life I would. The hassle of it gives me such anxiety. This is one element of my life that I have to give to God. Well I give all the elements of my life to the Lord, but this is one that stresses me so I have to tell the Lord to take control and work everything else out for us.





On a lighter note... for my nerves anyway!.. I am TOO excited about going to Boston this weekend. Its suppose to rain on Saturday, so that sucks, but Sunday is suppose to be nice. I'm hoping my friend Christina decides to meet us up there on Sunday. We are staying close to Bunker Hill. I will be taking TONS of pictures. I have some cute new clothes I'm going to wear and I finally got contacts so I dont have to just wear glasses all the time and I can wear sunglasses. Chad got glasses this week. It's weird seeing him with them on, but I really REALLY like them. He looks handsome and intelligent!

So the Lord is teaching me how to not be such a complainer. I tend to rant and rave about cleaning house, doing laundry, and doing the dishes. The other day when the laundry was about 3 loads backed up, I started complaining to myself and I asked the Lord why does the housework seem never ending? It was like He knocked me upside the head and answered me. He said 'Why are there dishes? Because you eat. Why is there laundry? Because you have been blessed with an abundance of clothes.' He is right, of course, but we are blessed and the housework is the evidence of our blessings. So now instead of complaining about doing the dishes or laundry, I'm just going to be thankful that the Lord has given us food to eat and clothes to wear!!!
