Hip to be a Square Peg

Nothing fantastic happens in my life anymore. Now much goes on in Connecticut and I'm sure it doesnt help that Chad and I arent partaay people. I'm going to need to move ASAP to get my fun life back. Routine. That's what I have become...a routine. Work. Gym. Shows. Sleep. Repeat. Lame. This is kinda a sad bummer of a week for me. This is the week that I was going to move home and start working and saving until Chad got to me, but God has other plans. Hopefully it's something oh so fun! Perhaps I'll move to Cali and makes lots of money and can dress like SJP. I love her. Really I do. I love almost everything she's in. I totally dig Square Pegs! Chad and I were watching State and Main this past weekend. I'm on a SJP kick and he's on an Alec Baldwin kick so it satisfied both our cravings!! :)









So this next week is Spring Break. It's nice, I SO have Spring Fever. We have Good Friday off too. Thats nice. I'm going to a Yoga class and think about what Christ did for me :) and then eat Chinese! We are getting closer and closer to our Florida trip! I'm trying to save up my Kidd Kraddick in the morning Podcasts for the plane ride. Its going to be a doooosey. 5 hours. Yikes!




I'm doing my best to not be so pale anymore. I'm putting on tanning cream and it's not streaking me or making me an Oompa Loompa, but it does make me stink of tanning cream. Oh well I'm Miss No Sun or Tanning Beds so I guess I'm going to have to stink. Gotta keep the skin wrinkle free and sun damage free!! I'm not gonna lie...this picture kinda freaks me out a bit. I've never been the biggest fan of clowns and little one that are orange arent really floating my boat.

It's 9pm and in LameLand thats bedtime. One day down and 2 1/2 to go until Spring Break!! Florida...here I come....after Spring Break........

Twilight Dweeb

So the more I read these crazy Twilight books, the more I get addicted! I'm totally in love with Edward, of course, and I wish I had been as secure with myself in high school as Bella is! I could SO be Bella..See, I fit right in!!

I'm getting very excited in the next movie coming out. November cant come quick enough! Chad likes Twilight ok. He didnt think the movie was that lame. I think that if he would sit down and read it, he would like it... ok maybe not. The movie didnt focus on the love story as much as the book so I'll bet he wouldnt like the book. Sometimes I wish I never read the book, cause I think I like it too much. I refused to read it for a while and made fun of those who did... now look at me... lame and lovin ole Eddie.

So I made a flower arrangement last week. It didnt last long, only 3 days. I think thats why I dont like flowers. They are a lot of money and they die fast. It is a deal that Chad and I made...no flowers...waste of money!! But they are pretty and my house smelled real nice!!! That could be because Chad stopped smoking...it was rough the 1st 2 days, he was crabby, but now he's cool and the house (and he) smells better!! Ok so anyway, this is my flower arrangement!

So I am silently obsessed with Kidd Kraddick in the morning. I plot ways to become famous just to get on that show! I listen to them on my iPod everyday!! I plan the time I leave my house so that I can listen to them the whole time I drive to work. Then I sit in my car until the Hizzle is over and I begin my day!! Ugh, I love that show. If your not listening to them in the morning, youre missing out!! They are on 102.5 in Nashville and they are too too funny!!

I havent picked up New Moon all weekend, so now is my last chance read before my busy busy week begins, so before I go read, I will leave you with one question...

Babies Babies Babies!!!

So it looks like all my friends back home are either having a baby, going to have a baby or just had a baby....it's pretty neat. I can't imagine what it feels like to have a baby growing in your belly. I am looking forward to it one day, probably not for another year or 2. Chad and I go in and out about having one. Some days we are both on board, others neither of us want one, some days he's on a baby kick, i'm not and others I'm on the kick and he's not! Chad has mentioned lately about adopting from China, I have always wanted to, it's nice to know his mind is opened to it. I for sure want to have a baby of my own too... I have lots of baby names picked out. Well, lots of girl names. Only one boy name....I feel silly even saying this, but I'm scared to say the names out loud cause I've heard of baby name stealing, but really, I dont care. I'll still name my baby what I want no matter what. So if you're really curious, then ask, and I'll tell. The middle name of our boy will for sure be Rudy. Chad's uncle Rudy passed away 6 years ago and I know it would mean so much to his mother if we named our boy after him. Rudy is also a name in my family, I'm not a Rudy. I'm a Miller...I have mixed emotions about naming the kid Rudy because I'm not a Rudy. I love all the Rudy's very much though. But making my in-laws happy is the ultimate and honoring Chad's Uncle Rudy would make them happy. At work, my student is taking Child Development and I'm learning so much there is to know about the world of babies. I dont think you can ever really know unless you experience it! There is so much Chad are looking to do when we move whether it's to San Diego or Jacksonville. I really hope it's Cali though. I've never lived on the West Coast and I want Chad to be West Coast Navy. He said it's more laid back. I think he would be happier there, I would be happy to be close to his family and knowing that we would never spend another Holiday alone, with just the 2 of us!! Holidays are more fun the bigger the family!! Ok, well it's late and I havent read any of the Eclipse book yet tonight!!

Beware the Ides of March

Ok so it isnt March 15th, but I had all intention on writing the blog yesterday and that darn, dumb, teenage book Twilight took up most of my day. It seems any spare time this weekend, which wasnt much, I was reading that crazy book. I must say, its pretty darn good. Its a light, fun, and easy read. Sometimes you need a book like that.

So Saturday was my friend Tari's baby shower. I must say, babies are all around! I go in and out on when I want a baby. I feel like having a baby would complete Chad and myself, but there are so many other things I want to see and do right now. At work, my student is taking Child Development and I'm learning so so much on having a baby and whatnot. I'm taking notes and saving the binder for when I have one!! Ha! Chad and I will be married 3 years on March 19th...Thursday I think, anyway, we have said that we wanted to wait until our 5 year. We probably will. But who knows.

So since my dream of moving homes was popped, Chad said I can get a new car when we transfer! I'm very excited. You see, I drive a Honda Accord...1999....168,000 miles on that sucker and I wouldnt be complaining, cause it has been a great car, but the girl that had it before I did really messed the inside up. Cig burns all over the sun visors and roof, the leather is ripped...and not to mention, Laila has done her fair share of damage. Although Lai's isnt anything that cant be fixed. So we were thinking, if we trade it in, we wont get much because of the mileage and interior damage, so we were thinking we would give it to my sis-in-law. Its a good car, and she could use one. So if we move to the west coast, that is our plan. But she doesnt know yet, let's keep it that way!

Oh. My. GOOOD. GOSH I love Big Love. It is the best drama on TV now. HBO always has great shows....

I cant wait until the finale on Sun, but sadly then it will be over. That will suck.

Ok so I have been writing this post for about 4 days now so I'm posting it unfinished. I do that all the time, but never post it, then wait too late and never post them. So now, unfinished this will post!!!

A Whale's Vagina

As the brilliant Ron Burgundy once said, "Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina."

So it looks like we are going to have to stay in the Navy. I'm going to make the best of what God has planned for us. We are hoping to live in San Diego. Chad's family is just 5 hours from there, so it will be nice to be close to them. We will get to have a real relationship with our nephews who only know us in pictures. When Lucas and Aden were here, my mother-in-law, Mona, asked Lucas where Uncle Chad and he went over to the picture and pointed to Chad while Chad was sitting by him. I love the boys and hopefully we will be able to live near them. I would love to get closer to Chad's family. Also living in Cali would be really neat. My Mimi always told me to live in Cali if I had the chance. She was a Hollywood kinda gal!!! She loved living the Hollywood life in the 60's and 70's. She looked the part too...she looked like "I Dream of Jeannie".

I dont think I have the swagger Mimi had! So anyway, hopefully we can score orders there.... if not...it's back to FL. I gotta get out of this cold! I'm not cut out for this! There should not be snow on the ground in March! There is suppose to be flowers and showers!!!

Chad and I are headed to Fl in May to visit some friends and go to his friend Carvarie's Officer Commissioning Ceremony. It's going to be fun! I have really missed Heather and Brandon!! I want to lay out and get tan and go to a theme park! And of course cook a meal all together like we use to. I miss that. They were great friends, we were blessed to have them. Poor Chad doesnt have any friends up here. He doesnt really click with the Sub guys he says. He has his friend Mike, he said he clicks with Mike cause he's surface. I guess Sub and Surface are just different. I think Chad will be happier in Cali. His best friend Mike is over there at the Marine base so it will be nice to be close to him. Ok so anyway, nothing really has happened this week. I'm getting a haircut Friday. Thats always an adventure!! Maybe I'll be able to see instead of having all this hair in my face!!

I Need a Vacation From a Vacation

Well this last week in Nashville was uneventful to say the least. It was so nice spending time with friends, but also so stressful. I didnt take many pictures. I forgot and now I'm bummed.

We got to Nashville on Wednesday very early went to meet with our realtor about finding a house if we move. We set up all the homes and days we were going to go look, then went back home and did nothing the rest of the day. My aunt and Lauren came over that night and visited a little bit.

Thursday, Mom and I went with Rhonda(the realtor) to look at homes. I found 2 I loved. Dad and Chad went to the Sheriff's Department, where Chad was promised a job, and looked around and talked to the Chief Deputy, but now there is a freeze on the hiring there, so there goes that job. Chad really isnt interested in being a cop or anything like that. He applied to Metro, but by the time he gets out there is suppose to be a freeze in Metro. The last class will be in June. But Chad still went to talk with people there, really for Dad, he's friends with all of the people in Metro. Chad would be a cop if it meant he had a job. Thursday was a very disappointing day. I lost all hope of coming back to Nashville then. I still am very scared. Not having a job that gives insurance is scary. I'm so thankful to Ben..but I'll get to that on Saturdays paragraph!

Friday was a nice day, we had plans to go out with Lauren and Brandon on Friday night. We went out to dinner and made it a very early night cause Lauren and I had a big spa day planned for the next morning. I cant really remember what all we did on Friday during the day. Oh well.

Ok, Now to Saturday!! For our anniversary, Chad got me a spa package to share with Lauren, so we went for a massage and a pedicure. FUN FUN FUN. I needed that massage, it was wonderful! And being with Lauren was great too!! We talked to the girls who did our pedicure about doing Carrie Underwoods nails. That was neat. She said Carrie wasnt sweet. Polite, but not sweet. Oh well, I still love her. We went to Blue River Canyon Day spa. So that night, me, Chad, Jessica, Ben, Holly, Adam, Toyna, Em and Neems went to the world crappiest Mexican place. I loved the time we spend there, but dang. It is bad! Cinco is SOO much better!! So next time Jess, we are going to Cinco!! FO SHO! But like I said, it was great spending time with them! So after the Mex food, we went to Holly and James' house. We went into the 'Man Cave' and had lots-o-fun! I have lots of pics and video, but havent uploaded them yet... they will come! Chad had a lot of fun and really loved spending time with them! OH!! And Ben said that he could give Chad a job working for him! I cant even explain how grateful I am for that! It gave me hope!! Chads been going on Towne Park's website and saw some positions he could apply for, but wants to talk to Ben first. He said he would love to be Ben's shift supervisor so Ben didnt have to keep going into work. :) Jessica, please tell Ben thanks again, he's just great!

Sunday was church. I loved being there, but was so so SOO bummed that Bro. Rob wasnt there. I was really looking forward to hearing him, but it was still great! I miss TDF. After church, Mom, Dad, Deb, Chad and I went to Mac Grill in Opry Mills...it was YUMMYYY!!! I miss Mac Grill!! My aunt is dating a disk jockey from 105.9 The Rock at 1:34pm, Chad and I got a shout out and was played The Eagles! Good choice. I love The Eagles!! Anyway, we heard that on the way to Starbucks to meet 2 friends I grew up with...Valerie and Whitney. I havent seen them in years and it was just wonderful seeing them again. Whit had to leave early, but Val and I talked for hours! I cant wait to do that again!! Sunday night, I was ready to go to church when Lauren called and asked if I would come over and have dinner with her. She was going through her Mom's clothes and had some things for me. I know that must be a hard thing for her and Gianna(her sis) to do. It was nice having pasta over there. It has been a LONG time since I've been there.

Monday, Chad and I went to go see some homes and look at the one I liked. Chad liked it too. It needs a full paint job, but it has so much potential. Monday night, I went to dinner with my friends from Sonic: Angie, Tab, and Christine. We went to Chilis and it was so so so so much fun! I miss being home to do things like that! Chad went out to dinner and Box Seat with his friend Phillip. Phillip is the person who brought Chad and I together. Props to Phillip. I met up with them after I was done at Chilis so I could pick Chad up. I had dropped him off. We ended up staying out until 2am. Yikes!!

So Tuesday comes along and my cousin Whitney and I went to DCA to eat lunch with our little cousin Gabrielle. Chad went to the Police Academy with Dad so he met us there a little late. It was nice being back and fun embarrassing Gabrielle...she loved it! :) I cant believe that she is all grown up. That little baby is a teenager now. Wow. I love her and her brother so much. So after we left DCA, Chad, Whit and I went to Chilis and caught up. I miss her. It was lots of fun. She's a trip! We went to the house Chad and I like to show Whit. That night, we stayed in and had Krystal! I miss Krystal...having it only every once in a while is a good thing!

Wednesday is the kicker. We woke up early and went to the realtor's office and put a contract on the house!! WHOO HOO. But it IS still up in the air if we can come back. I have asked the Lord for His will and Chad pointed out that a lot of things have happend and God could be giving us signs that we have ignored. We said if Chad could find a good paying job with benefits that we wouldnt come back, he has a job, thanks to Ben, but we dont know the pay and read that benefits dont kick in until a year of working there. We have contacted 3 lenders for the house and none have called us back after talking with us. That could be a sign and if our contract doesnt go through on the house, that could be a sign. I'm worried that my want is out weighing God's will. I just want to be back home so so bad and I know that if it's not God's will then I wont be happy. Chad doesnt want us to struggle financially. We have never had to do that before and he is scared to make that leap. I am too. But I'm not so scared that it wont happen. We have tried to make out a budget, but dont really know what Chad will be making so that is hard. I want Chad to be happy too. We are really scared and stuck. Please pray for us.

So what can I say, I hate packing! It has a similarity to laundry and, as you know, I loath laundry. Not to mention that I had about 5 loads to do before I pack. I have a list of things I have to pack, its just getting up those stairs and doing it. Ugh and can I say how much I hate flying?! The older I get the more scared of things I become. All these planes in the news are freaking me out. I dont think my nerves will subside until we are landed in Nashville....from there, I'll be just fine! I am oh so excited about being there! So much to do in so little time! Chad has 2 interviews while he's down there. He is guaranteed one job, but I'm not sure if he'll like it!

So I'm not sure why my dumb dog has decided to get sick right before we leave. She is lazy and clingy...and if you know Laila, you know that she's anything but clingy. We had some leftover medicine and she has been taking it...so hopefully she be nice and feeling good for Christina tonight. Laila loves Copper so I know she's going to have a great week over there! Nice vaca for Lai too!!

While I'm down there, I plan to take so many pictures and video, it's unreal!!! Once I get back, I'll blog about the day to day adventures! Its going to be great....OoOoOo I forgot I'm looking for houses too... how. fun. is. that. <--- That is another way I'm making my blog cooler!! Periods. after. each. word. Anyway, Lots of fun, lots of pictures to come, and I'm sure some interesting stories!!!
