I cant even explain how happy I am that it is Friday! Although I have a lot of laundry to catch up on, I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend. No plans sounds nice to me. Chad's birthday is next Saturday. We dont really get gifts for each other, just go on mini trips, but he hasnt voiced anywhere he would like to go, so I'm just going to get him some brownies from American Brownie Co. I heard about it on Unwrapped on the FoodNetwork Channel. Chad doesnt like cake, but he LOVES brownies. I am thinking about the "Evening Brownies" There is an espresso brownies and some liquor brownies. If you know us, you know we love anything espresso! I think we drink more espresso than coffee! Tomorrow, I'm going to make am espresso hot chocolate. It sounds so so good. Next Friday, I think we are going to have a few friends over to grill out for Chad's Bday. We are going to make Lamb Burgers. And then on his birthday, we are going to the Rowland's for another grill out cause it is also Chad's friend Mike's Bday too. They always cook good soul food! Mike's wife Danielle is from Memphis and knows what southern food should taste like!! It's so odd to me to taste "southern food" up here. Even Cracker Barrel's food sucks up here. I guess no one can cook Southern food like Southerners!!
I am wanting another puppy. I am always in the mood for one, but lately I have been really aching for one!!! I picked out Laila and Chad named her, so the next pup Chad gets to pick it and I get to name it. Chad's dream pup is an English Bulldog and I would love one too, but my dream pup is sitting at my feet right now!! I love Laila so much. She is the sweetest and best dog I could ever ask for. She loves people, she is good with babies and she lives to play with other animals!! Any animal. Sometimes I think she love animals more than people! If you come over, she will be so happy to see you, but if you come over with another pup, it's over!! I think she is too quick to approach other dogs, because she doesnt get the hint when other pups dont want her around. Anyway, I would love to have another dog, I know that we need to have a bigger house and a fenced in back yard before we have another one! And Laila needs to chill a bit too. She can be quite hyper at times! Also, I would like to get my dog down South. The dogs up here are so expensive and since no one up here will adopt out to military families, if we want a pup, we have to buy : ( But not from a pet store. No puppy mills. I dont like that military families cant adopt, but I understand that there alot of families who just leave their puppies behind, but that is not us. I know that we cant prove that, but I would do anything for Laila. I love her so much and would love my next pup just as much! We turned down overseas billets because we cant take Laila. I would like to be stationed in Hawaii, but I'm scared that the plane ride and all the stress will be too much on her.

What a Weekend
This past weekend was a great one and also a sad one. I had a wonderful time with my parents. We went to Salem, Mass and Concord, Mass. We vast in the red, orange and yellow leaves, shopped at H&M and ate pumpkin EVERYTHING! We took tons of pictures and enjoyed being together. Laila loved having them here and I know the feeling was mutual. Mom and Dad love Laila so much. Laila loves them so much too. I cant seem to stop crying since they have left. I miss being with them so much and this weekend especially made me stop and savor every second with them. When I got the text message about Brandon's mom at 2:45 am, my heart broke and I couldnt get back to sleep. I just cant believe my other best friend lost his mother too this year. First Lauren in Jan, now him yesterday. It really made meet thankful that I was able to spend this weekend with them. I am trying not to let Chad see me cry because I know that when he does, he feels bad and starts talking about getting out of the Navy. I know he doesnt want to get out and if he did, it would be for me. I want so bad to live near my family. I think this past year has really hit me hard, you realize that we are only on this Earth for a short time. I tend to take for granted the time I spend with my family. I know everyone does. I took my time with my gran
dmother for granted and I regret it. This Christmas will be a year since she passed. I have missed not talking to her on the phone every couple of weeks. If I new my last time talking to her would be the first of Dec, I would have called lots and lots more. I just wish I could see Mom and Dad a lot more than about 15 days a year. I would love to have it all and have Chad, Laila, Mom, Dad and Deb with me all the time, but I know it's not possible right now. We had some great pictures from this weekend, I'll post some

Debates
So it's political season and I love it! I really get into the elections and love watching FoxsNews and listening to Rush and Sean on the radio. I love getting to know both sides and when someone asks me why I am voting for McCain, not saying "Country First''! I'll tell you what, I have asked a number of people why they are voting for Obama and all I get is his campaign slogan (Change) or ''No 3rd Bush term". Ok so 1: No matter what, come January, there will be a change and 2: John McCain and George W. Bush are very different VERY. None of them can tell me a logical reason why they are voting for him. I'm voting for John McCain because he believes the highest priority for any resident is protecting the lives of American citizens, defending their personal freedom, and securing our land and resources. I also believe that Universal Health Care is a not a good idea. Yes, everyone needs Health Care, no the government should not be in charge of it. The government needs to make it affordable to everyone. I have government Health Care, trust me, you dont want any!...and mine is better treatment than what others will receive with The Universal Plan. And I also do not believe there should be a deadline to draw troops out of Iraq. That is asking for trouble and defeat. I want to elect a man who has not only served, but sacrificed for America. Barack Obama has not served a day in the greatest military in the world. We are in a serious war, we need an experienced man, who knows military tactics to guide our country into victory. I dont want my husband serving a military ran by a man who doesnt know the military. A man who thinks that there are 57 states in America (what?!) , a man who calls the people in PA bitter people who cling to their guns or religion...come on people. Dont even get me started on Jeremiah Write. That just goes to show how poor Obama's judgement is. Ok anyway, I'm looking forward to the VP Debates tonight and the Pres Debate in Nashville next Tuesday!! If only I can stay up to watch it!!

The longest week...and it's only wednesday...
It has been so long since I have written a blog, I dont even know where to start! I guess I'll start with Monday : ) I have been having BAD stomach pains since last Thursday and it was really bad this weekend, I couldnt eat anything without the cramping. SoOoOo I call the doctor on Monday morning and they told me to go to the ER, so that is what I did. Oh buddy, I will NEVER go to the ER again unless my limbs are severed. Let me pain this picture for you.... 115pm I arrive at the hospital and and by 145pm am hooked to an IV and send to a little room in the back of the ER to await my doctor's arrival. 230pm the nurse comes in and takes my blood and leaves. 4pm the doctor comes in and talks to me for a bit and suggests that the problem could be my gallbladder, which at that time I silently freak out cause Mom and Dad will be visiting by this time next week. Anyway 5pm Chad leaves to go let Laila out to go potty, feed her and give her her meds (which is another blog in itself). So I try to take myself a little nap, which isnt easy with all the commotion and an IV in my arm. The doc came in at that time and said I need to get an ultrasound and that will take a few hours and if I need anything for the pain, just ask. So around 530pm I go out and find a nurse to try and get something for the cramping pain in my tummy, she says she will ask the doc... no one ever comes back. So 630pm Chad comes back, still no nurse to check on me. 9pm, Chad and I are loosing it in that little storage closet. I forgot to mention I hadn't even since 1030am and my IV ran out of water at 4 or so, so no water either. A nurse finally comes in to say I'm next for the ultra sound so I'm happy. I ask for another pain pill or anything to help my pain. 915pm she comes in with a pill and a little water and runs out before I can ask for a real glass of water. 10pm she comes back to get me for the ultrasound and after I'm done, it's back to the storage closet. Chad has been asking nurses for water for me for the last 45mins. SO the doctor finally comes in around 1030 and I ask for water and a nurse comes in and asks what I want, coke, juice water....I said water. So I got water. 1045pm, another nurse comes in and says I can go home!!!! YAY! So 11pm I leave and was diagnosed with stomach pains! No Duh! In the mean time, my friend Susie and her husband came in and left when we did...but they were only there for an hour and a half! But it was nice to have Susie to talk to a bit! I'm going to the doc tomorrow to see whats wrong with me. OH I didnt tell Mom and Dad about the ER, so lets keep it quite for now, I dont want to get them worried for no reason.... cause I really didnt need to go to the ER, I just needed to see my doc and they sent me there before I could see them.
Ok on a lighter note, Mom and Dad will be up here this time next year and we have FALLTASTIC things planned!!
